The BA8100 EIS Battery Analyzer is designed for diagnosing battery systems using more complex AC measurement techniques such as Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). Utilizing this non-intrusive technique, batteries can be characterized through graphical analysis tools such as Nyquist and Bode plots included in the provided software. When it comes to measurement capabilities, the BA8100 can measure internal battery impedance at a desired frequency up to 10 kHz as well as voltage (up to 80 V), current (up to 3 A), phase, capacitance, inductance and quality factor.

The BA8100 is applicable in dynamic EIS battery studies and diagnosing rechargeable batteries for the battery second use (B2U) market. Free PC software is available for download at bkprecision.com , allowing users to define EIS test parameters and log measurement data via LAN, USB (COM), or RS232 interfaces. The unit also includes kelvin clip test leads, a self-test fixture (TLC81) and a calibration certificate
